Our family was the one that visited Fairhaven and sat in on the JC case Mark mentioned. It was a great experience for us to see the judicial process working so beautifully and kids of all ages participating fully as citizens of the school community. Sam, our nine-year-old, sat riveted during the JC hearing and thought it would feel very empowering to be part of such a process.

Many thanks to Mark and all the other students and staff who took the time to talk with us and show us around. The entire visit was inspiring for all of us, and we came away even more firmly committed to helping create this kind of school and life experience in Austin.
